Step 1: Calculate the slope for each table using the formula \(\frac{f(x_2) - f(x_1)}{x_2 - x_1}\). Step 2: For Table 1, calculate the slope using the points \((0, -2)\) and \((1, 1)\): \[ \frac{-2 - 1}{0 - 1} = \frac{-3}{-1} = 3 \] Step 3: For Table 2, calculate the slope using the points \((0, -1)\) and \((1, 1)\): \[ \frac{-1 - 1}{0 - 1} = \frac{-2}{-1} = 2 \] Step 4: For Table 3, calculate the slope using the points \((0, 1)\) and \((1, 2)\): \[ \frac{1 - 2}{0 - 1} = \frac{-1}{-1} = 1 \] Step 5: For Table 4, calculate the slope using the points \((1, 1)\) and \((2, 8)\): \[ \frac{1 - 8}{1 - 2} = \frac{-7}{-1} = 7 \] Step 6: Since the slope is constant for Table 3, it represents a linear relationship. Therefore, the correct answer is (3).
