Instailing mods on SA is the easiest thing in the world besides putting mods on nfs games i dont know that youre on about, however if you were looking to play the game exactly as it shipped you would just get a copy that no one can change because some songs licences expired or because they hired monkeys to upscale a mobile port into a pc game

Can't speak for the pc versions but in pcsx2 (via emudeck) vc and sa emulate flawlessly at 2-3x native, 3 has slowdown above native when particle effects are present but works fine at native.

I don’t like games where you play as a Black person or woman. I was playing Red Dead Revolver, it’s a PS2 rockstar game I never played before and stopped when there was a segment you play as a “badass woman who needs no man” basically a precursor to Sadie in RDR2. I found out there’s a segment later on where you play as a Black person too so it’s a double whammy. Plus the game promotes race mixing, in the opening mission your mom is Indian and your father white. Rockstar has always been pozzed.

Playing a game where your character model is just an image of goats*e doesn’t affect gameplay but I still wouldn’t play a game like that. I don’t wanna play as a Black person or woman shooting White men. The best professional shooters in the world like Jerry Miculek are White men anyway, there are no Black folk or women capable of killing a trained White man in a gunfight.

The physics model seems simpler and vehicles have way more traction (and like 3x the durability), it's almost impossible to flip a car without hitting a ramp first
It's also more obvious that NPC traffic is on rails rather than simulated, they whip around corners at impossible speed relative to their turning radius, which is also a common source of frustration at intersections.

SA has great vehicle designs too. There's something much larger and solid looking about them compared to the previous 2. The updated tank design compared to the old meatball tank is a good example of how much better they were getting at making cool cars.

why isn't there a torrent of a pre-installed and pre-modded GTA:SA that i can just download and play?
maybe first run a regedit file to append some value in the registry needed for the game to start, then run the game and enjoy the ultimate fav-perfected version of the game.there's always so many extra steps involved with modding, for old games that don't get so many mods any more i don't understand the lack of pre-fan-patched-and-pre-modded pirated versions.

Camera controls were always just the mouse. However you had me curious and I just looked and found this:

I have physical copies of 4+DLC and I don't even want to guess what it takes to get them to run in current year. Luckily GTA4 sucks and only TBOGT is kind of okay to play so it's not a big loss.

i think GTA 4 is OK, you just install retail content off the disk then look for the most recent patch if rockstar game launcher doesn’t do that for you. i’m pretty sure games for windows live automatically picks up an update to disable itself these days.
i forget what fricking game it was but i remember once as a kid i had to
